Katalin Sárba has worked in the world of fine arts for thirty years. During this time, she has organized and staged more than two hundred exhibitions, both national and international. For fifteen years, she was the director of the Forrás Gallery, one of the most important galleries in Budapest's art scene.
Currently, she is the Head of the Cultural Department of the Research Institute for National Strategy, where she organizes the cultural programs of the Institute and the exhibitions and events of the Carpathian House (Kárpát-haza) Gallery. Another main branch of her activity is the editing of art books. She is the editor of nearly thirty art publications.
Ms. Sárba has a long-standing professional relationship with Péter Párkányi Raab a Kossuth Prize-winning sculptor. She participated in the organization of several of his individual exhibitions, including the HANYATtLÓ–SZÁRNYALÓ exhibition in Székesfehérvár, which presented his oeuvre up to that point. She was also the editor of the exhibition’s accompanying publication. In 2019, she nominated the artist for the Mihály Munkácsy Award, which he received.
She has been involved in photography for seven years. Nature, city and event photography are close to her heart, but her profession also attracts her to the photography of art objects, especially to statues and sculptures. She likes to portray her subjects in a different way, and her individual vision is emphasized in her photographs. The sensitive details and the hidden beauty of the work are important to her.
